Installation Requirements for Goodnotes Teams and Enterprise

If you are looking to install Goodnotes in your business but you are unsure if your devices and software are able to run or install the app, here is a list of requirements needing to be met to ensure a successful onboarding of Goodnotes for your organization.

At this moment in time, only Goodnotes Teams is available for use on all platforms, whether Apple, Android or Windows operating systems and Goodnotes Enterprise is available on Apple devices. 

In order to install Goodnotes, you may need an account on Apple Business Manager in order to download the app and distribute to your end-users, however if you use the public App Store or MDM download of Goodnotes app instead, that is also fine. Please ensure that your end-user devices meet the following criteria:

Goodnotes Compatibility:

iPhone: Requires iOS 17.5 or later.

iPad: Requires iPadOS 17.5 or later.

Mac: Requires macOS 14.5 or later.

Apple Vision: Requires visionOS 1.2 or later.

System Requirements for Android, Windows, and Web

In addition, learn what devices support Apple Pencil.

The Goodnotes Admin Console does not require an MDM to function and be deployed, but if you do use an MDM to deploy your applications, please consult your MDM provider on how best to manage this. For more information on how to install Goodnotes via MDM, please see here.
